While we are completely exhausted from the preparation of launching our sold boat 'Andiamo' this past weekend at Mimico, it seems we have still enough steam to continue prepping our new home - thank God.
After writing and rewriting list after list of what we have to inspect and want to fix and need to have on our new boat, we laugh at how anal we both are about these damn lists!
If you know us at all, you know that we are masters of list making and darn good at checking things off our lists. Just 2 years ago we said we were going to sell our house in Pickering, buy a boat and move into a condo just minutes from our boat club. Well, guess what? We made our lists and made it happen.
THAT is the really scary thing about making lists. If you have the drive and determination to check off all the items on a very well-prepared list, then magical things will happen.
We had a plan just one year ago to buy a bigger boat and take a year off from work and travel to south. Hmm....guess buying the bigger boat can be checked off now!
Scary to think that as we enjoy our live aboard on Deja Vu, which begins this month, we will be working on our list to prepare us to head south.
Before we realize it, we will be crossing the lake and heading towards the Oswego Canal.
We love the adventure we are on. We are NOT rushing through to GET to Florida or the Bahamas, but we ARE enjoying the journey to get there. It is not about a fast pace life we look forward to, but a easy, more simpler life together.
Soooo excited for our slow move into our boat from our condo.
The end of May will come very quickly - can't wait to have some champagne to celebrate checking off something from our list!
